Description

Finally, drinking can become fun!
The new NUK Kameleon cups delight children because the picture on the cup changes colour when heated or cooled. It’s hard to believe! Children enjoy drinking even more and are more likely to use the cup again. The appealing design also naturally and effortlessly increases a child’s interest in drinking. The NUK Action Cup accompanies children over 12 months as they become more active, when movement and activity take centre stage. The soft straw is flexible and gentle on the palate and gums. Thanks to the practical screw-top closure, the straw retracts into the lid, keeping everything dry and clean during transport. The NUK Drinking Cup also has a ventilation valve for hassle-free drinking.

Cup capacity: 230 ml.

Important instructions for use

  • Before first use, disassemble the product as instructed, wash it and boil it for 5 minutes. This is for hygiene reasons. To ensure hygiene, wash thoroughly before every use. Sterilise if necessary. Store in a dry, hygienic environment. Always disassemble the cup into separate parts before boiling or sterilising and leave the parts disassembled; otherwise, deformation may occur. We recommend using the NUK steam steriliser or NUK microwave steriliser. To avoid damaging the material, always follow the steriliser manufacturer's instructions for use.
  • The best way to preserve the colourfastness of the heat-sensitive colours is to wash the product by hand. If necessary, the product can be filled with boiling water to disinfect it. The heat-sensitive colours are sensitive to moisture, temperature and descaling agents. Frequent boiling or sterilising will cause the colours to fade over time.
  • When disinfecting plastic cups, do not exceed the maximum permitted temperature of 100°C (marked on the cup)!
  • Do not leave the cup in direct sunlight or heat, or leave it in disinfectant (sterilising solutions) for longer than recommended, as this may damage the material. Always heat cups while open (risk of explosion) and then allow them to cool (risk of deformation)! Take particular care when heating in a microwave; uneven heating may occur. Always stir after heating and check the temperature before feeding.
  • Never fill the drinking cup with carbonated or hot drinks. The resulting excess pressure may cause liquid to spill.
  • Leaks may occur in low-pressure environments (e.g. on aeroplanes).
  • When pouring in drinks made with powder, make sure the powder has dissolved completely. Sediment or pulp may adversely affect the straw's performance.

For your child's safety and health

  • Continuous and prolonged sucking of liquids can cause tooth decay. In young children, tooth enamel can be damaged even when they are given unsweetened liquids.
  • Always check the temperature of food before feeding. Discard at the first signs of damage or wear.
  • Keep unused parts out of reach of children.
  • Never attach these to cords, ribbons, laces or loose parts of clothing. Your child may be strangled.
  • Always use this product under adult supervision.
  • Never use bottle teats as soothers.
  • This cup is intended for children from 12 months of age and is not suitable for feeding younger babies. Keep small parts out of children's reach: - choking hazard - risk of fingers being pinched.
  • Always check the spout part A1 for signs of wear and replace it if it has visible damage.
  • If the inside of the cup is damaged (e.g. scratched), replace it for hygiene reasons.
  • NUK cups and spouts are compatible only with products from the same range.

Cleaning
For the most thorough cleaning, disassemble the cup into separate parts.

  • 1. Turn the upper part of the lid B1 clockwise until the arrow symbol is fully visible, then remove it from the cup.
  • 2. Unscrew the lower part of the lid B2 from the cup, then remove the polypropylene tube from the silicone straw.
  • 3. Pull the silicone straw downwards out of the lid.
  • 4. Wash the parts in warm water with washing-up liquid; soak if necessary. Rinse with clean water and shake off excess water. Dry without putting the parts together.
  • 5. Store the cup unpacked and disassembled into its individual parts: straw, lid and cup.

Tips.
The product (except for the spout) is also dishwasher-safe. Strong dishwasher detergents may damage the material. Some foods may change the colour of the material (e.g. carrot juice) or its smell (e.g. fennel tea), but this does not affect the product's suitability for use. Do not use sharp objects for cleaning (risk of damage, especially to the spout)!

Assembly – start assembling WITHOUT the straw.

  • 1. Place the upper part of the lid on the lower part so that the arrow is visible through the opening in the upper part of the lid (B1). In this position, you can fit the two parts of the lid together without applying pressure.
  • 2. Turn the upper part of the lid on the lower part anticlockwise (in the direction of the arrow) until the straw hole is fully visible. You will feel slight resistance, which you need to overcome.
  • 3. Insert the silicone straw into the lid from below and pull it upwards until you hear a click. Then attach the polypropylene tube by placing it over the silicone straw.
  • 4. Screw the assembled lid onto the cup.

Instructions:

  • 1. Additional arrows are marked on the lower part of the lid (B2) and the upper part (B1) to help you find the correct fitting position.
  • 2. If you do not have the assembly instructions to hand, small pictograms on the underside of the B2 lid can help you assemble the cup correctly. Keep the product information and the product/batch number for future reference.
