Nursing pillows are an essential purchase both before and after pregnancy. Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably around you during pregnancy, the pillow provides support and extra comfort. It can also sit comfortably around you while you feed your baby, helping provide the right posture and support for your baby.
The cushion can double up as a resting area for your baby after feeding, once they can support their own head and neck. As your baby grows, the pillow can be used as support when sitting; this is recommended once your child can sit unaided. Alternatively, place your baby on their tummy. This encourages tummy time, which helps strengthen the neck, back and shoulder muscles.
The inner filling is made from fibres that do not lose their shape or firmness over time. The removable cover is machine-washable, making it easy to care for. The pillow measures 61 x 48 cm.
Ways to use the pillow
- Pregnancy pillow: Provides support during pregnancy. Simply place it between your knees and ankles to relieve pressure points in your legs, or around your back while sitting or resting.
- Feeding pillow: Wrap it comfortably and securely around your waist. It provides support and comfort for both parent and child during breastfeeding or bottle-feeding.
- Rest pillow: Allows your child to lie gently on their back and rest comfortably. Recommended when your baby can lift and support their own head and neck.
- Playtime pillow: Seat your baby in the pillow’s embrace and use it for support, or place your baby on their tummy to explore. Recommended when your child can sit without assistance.
Products intended for infants and children must be used under adult supervision. Never leave your child unattended with a breastfeeding pillow.
