Unfortunately, babies can’t explain why they love their NUK Star so much. But we suspect it’s because it feels pleasant in their mouths: the top of the teat gently aligns with the roof of their mouth. It has a soft zone, and the material is very thin and exceptionally smooth. At the same time, the lower part of the teat leaves enough room for natural sucking movements. As the teat is narrow and flat, it puts almost no pressure on the teeth and jaw. A durable, reusable storage case is included for safe and hygienic storage.
These silicone dummies come in yellow and pink-red. The pack contains two dummies for children aged 6–18 months, together with a case. Package dimensions (L x H x D): 6 x 14 x 5 cm. Product weight in package: 0.03 kg. The product is intended for children aged 6–18 months. It is packed in a box with a clothes hanger and made in Germany.
Instructions for use
- Before first use, boil the soother for 5 minutes. Make sure there is enough water in the pan to prevent damage to the soother.
- For hygiene reasons, wash the dummy with a mild washing-up liquid and sterilise it before each subsequent use. We recommend using a NUK steriliser for disinfection.
- After washing or sterilising, squeeze any remaining water out of the dummy and leave it to dry. This is also important for hygiene reasons.
- Dummies must not be washed in the dishwasher, as detergents may damage them.
- For hygienic cleaning in the microwave, fill the dummy storage case with water up to the bottom line. Only then should you put the dummy inside. Do not place the box in the centre of the microwave, to ensure even heating and avoid damaging the material.
- Important: Heat the closed box according to the heating time and microwave power marked on the box (engraved). Follow the appliance instructions too. Do not open the microwave for another 5 minutes. Caution: there is a risk of burns even after 5 minutes. Using the wrong amount of water, heating time or power setting may damage the material.
- Pour away any remaining water. Leave the soothers to dry in the open case. Check the temperature before use. Keep the soother case out of reach of children. This product is suitable only for NUK soothers.
- Store in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight.
- The MommyFeel soother (0–9M) was developed specifically for breastfeeding. After breastfeeding, please switch to another NUK soother model.
For your child's safety
Warning! Carefully inspect the product before each use. Pull the dummy in every direction and discard it if there are any signs of damage. Also check the rubber part of the dummy, especially when your child starts teething. Some children bite the rubber part of the dummy so hard that they may damage it or even remove it completely. If necessary, provide your child with a special teether.
- Use only special dummy clips that comply with the EN 12586 standard. Never attach cords or straps to the dummy, as this may cause the child to strangle themselves.
- Do not keep the dummy in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Do not leave it in cold sterilising solution for longer than the manufacturer recommends, as this may weaken the material.
- In isolated cases, a child may put the entire dummy in their mouth. If this happens, do not panic. The dummy’s special design prevents the baby from swallowing it, and the two holes in the dummy shield allow them to breathe freely. Remove the dummy from the child’s mouth as gently as possible.
- Never dip the soother in sweet substances or medicine, or lick it, as this may cause tooth decay.
- For hygiene and safety reasons, replace the soother after approximately 1–2 months of use. Even if the dummy is not visibly damaged, its quality may have deteriorated.
- Dummies with a shield: due to the risk of suffocation, keep the removable dummy guard out of the child's reach.
- LATEX dummy: made from natural rubber latex.
- Keep the product information and product/batch number for future reference.
