This wooden fruit cutting set is intended for children aged 3 and up and is ideal for play at nursery or at home. Its multifunctional design gives children different ways to play: they can use it as a puzzle, practise sorting each piece into its special recess on the base, or explore pretend cutting on the wooden board. The fruit pieces are joined with Velcro, creating resistance like that of real cutting; after cutting, children can simply put the fruit back together and begin again. With 17 pieces, the set also offers an opportunity for group play. Children can imagine themselves as a cashier at a market stall or playhouse, with the way they play depending on their own creativity. Through this play, the toy develops hand-eye coordination, dexterity, the ability to work in a group, imagination and curiosity, skills that will come in handy later in life.
