- The board can also be used without frames, e.g. on a table or the floor
- Helping children identify and describe emotions is an important first step in learning about emotions; young children cannot describe emotions in words, and the board lets them express their emotions or learn emotions they did not know before
- the child adjusts the emotions by setting the direction of the eyebrows, swapping the eyes, nose and mouth, and can add tears or blush
- there are also three emotion indicators – happiness, sadness and anger
- children show emotions by moving the wooden sliders
- at the bottom of the board there are 10 different situations from life
- a carer or teacher can choose a given situation and ask the child to express their emotions during such an event by arranging the face or moving the slider on the indicators
- it is a very interesting experience, as we can show children that each of them feels completely different emotions in a given situation
