Description
Running Carrots – Escaping Carrots Arcade Game. The escaping carrots arcade game is a game for the whole family in which you remove carrots from the board so that the wall does not move past the mark on the side of the board. The game includes two game modes: collecting points, and opening the trap by pulling out carrots in the right order.
Preparing the game
- Pull the wall back and hold it in place.
- Secure the wall by placing the medium-sized blue carrot in the round hollow.
- Place the remaining carrots randomly on the board.
- Remove the blue carrot from the hollow and place it on the board too.
- Carefully release the wall so that it rests against all the carrots.
Game mode 1: collecting points
The youngest player starts the game. On each turn the player removes one carrot. Once a player has touched a carrot, they must pull it out. You may also skip a turn, but then you cannot choose another carrot. If the carrot is removed and the wall does not cross the mark on the side of the board, the player may keep their prize.
If the wall crosses the mark, the removed carrot must be put aside. All carrots that jumped off the board during the same turn must also be put aside. In addition, the player gets a 3-point penalty. If the player does not have enough points to pay the penalty, they give back everything they have. You may skip a turn, but if a turn is skipped twice in a row, the player must make a move the third time.
The game continues until the number of carrots left on the board equals the number of players. For example, with four players the game ends when four carrots are left on the board. At the end, the carrots won are counted and converted into points. The player with the most points wins.
Carrot point values
- Orange carrot: 3 points × 15
- Blue carrot: 2 points × 15
- Green carrot: 1 point × 15
Game mode 2: opening the trap
Each player randomly chooses one of the six cards. The youngest player starts the game. Players remove carrots in the order shown on the card. If a player touches the designated carrot, they must pull it out. You may also skip a turn, but then you cannot choose another carrot. The carrots shown are placed on the card one after another. Carrots chosen in the wrong order are placed beside the card.
If the wall crosses the side mark, the carrot pulled out and all the carrots that jumped off the board during that turn must be put aside. The player must also put aside all the carrots on their card and start collecting them again. You may skip a turn, but if the turn is skipped twice in a row, the player must make a move the third time. The player who fills their card first opens the trap and wins.
